ATIKU SUPPORT ORGANIZATION TO STAGE HOUSE TO HOUSE CAMPAIGN FOR PDP CANDIDATE IN OSUN STATE

Hundreds of supporters of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Osun state, under the platform of Atiku Support Organization (ASO), will today stage a rally to mobilise voters in Osogbo and Olorunda local government areas to vote for the party’s governorship candidate, Senator Ademola Adeleke, and other candidates of the party in next year’s general elections.
The rally, which kicked off from Reflex Lounge and Bar in Ibikunle Area, Osogbo took the massive crowd through Dada Estate, Oke Fia, Olaiya, Oja Oba, Station road and Old garage.

The crowd will comprise of youths, men and women wearing branded T-shirts with the embossed photographs of Senator Ademola Adeleke and Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, as well as the party’s flag and logo.

Addressing reporters, Coordinator of the group in Osun state, Hon Funmiso Babarinde said: “As a group, we are all over Osun with our campaign activities. We have banners, posters and other souvenirs.
“We believe that this rally will be an advantage to mobilise more people and create awareness for PDP and Senator Ademola Adeleke. We believe in him; we believe in PDP; we believe in Osun; we believe in Nigeria. It is only a party of Democrats that is going to give us the dividends of democracy.”

The Conference of Speakers of State Legislatures of Nigeria (CSSLN) has officially suspended the Speaker of the Osun State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Adewale Egbedun, due to what has been characterized as insubordination and abuse of office. During a press conference held in Ibadan, the capital of Oyo State, the Chairman of the Association, Rt. Hon. Adebo Ogundoyin, condemned Egbedun's conduct towards a respected royal figure, labeling it as inappropriate and uncultured. Raifu Oyewole Durodoye a professor of mathematics at Dallas College, Dallas, Texas, United States of America and illustrious son of Osogbo has appealed For Peace In Ifon-Osun, Erin-Osun & Ilobu. The Chieftain of All Progressive Congress, APC, expressed deep sympathy to residents of Ifon-Osun, Erin-Osun, and Ilobu communities over the recurring communal conflict in that part of Osun State. The Professor acknowledged the distress and hardship caused by the unrest and called for an immediate end to hostilities.
