Political Family Holds Commendation Service for Late Olasoji Adagunodo

The commendation service for the late business mogul, master Strategist, political Mathematician, former Osun state PDP Chairman and National Vice Chairman Southwest PDP His Excellency Clement Olasoji Adagunodo, was held wednesday at the Wodicf event center, Ring Road, Osogbo, Osun state, as family and friends thronged the venue to pay their last respects.
The service for the deceased who passed away on May 8, 2023, in the United States at the age of 62, came after the service of songs which also held in Ilowa Ijesha his home town on Tuesday.

In sermon, the Preacher said the late icon was among the great number of Nigerians that used their talents for good.

He said: “With the mires of bad users (of their talents) all over today, we witness killings, greed, unemployment, insecurity, kidnapping and stealing.

“These are bad users of their talents on earth. Adagunodo was a good user of his. This country is too great to have greed run it down because we have a great number of people using their talents for good.

“There is need for us to remind ourselves that Heaven is real; hell is real as death may come at any time. Thus, let us not live our lives like we own it all. There is life in the after life. Let’s live for God everyday.”
The sermon was followed by a congregational confession of sins and seeking for forgiveness from God before the congregation made Eucharistic prayers and prayers for the acceptance of Adagunodo’s soul.

Personalities present include; Ex Osun state governor Prince Olagunsoye Oyinlola, Alhaji Fatai Akinbade (Former secretary of Osun State government) Omo-Oba Dotun Babayemi, Mr Dele Adeleke, Hon Ropo Oyewole, Hon Ismail Kolawole, Hon Ogunsemi Oluwole Hon Adewumi Adeyemi Irekandu, Lord Emmanuel Monyeh, Hon Adelani Ajanaku, Alh Remi Arogundade, SouthWest Excos from Osun, Her Excellency Feyi Fayose, Sir Lase Longe, Hon Ropo Oyewole, Barr Niyi Owolade, Dr Muyiwa Oladimeji, Alhaji Idowu Agbaje Star, Mr Akin Adeyi and many important personalities in attendance. 

Also present at the commendation service were the 2003 Osun state House of Assembly members led by former Deputy Speaker Hon Sunmonu who read special speech on behalf of other members.

Professor Durodoye Appeals For Peace In Ifon-Osun, Erin-Osun & Ilobu

Raifu Oyewole Durodoye a professor of mathematics at Dallas College, Dallas, Texas, United States of America and illustrious son of Osogbo has appealed For Peace In Ifon-Osun, Erin-Osun & Ilobu. The Chieftain of All Progressive Congress, APC, expressed deep sympathy to residents of Ifon-Osun, Erin-Osun, and Ilobu communities over the recurring communal conflict in that part of Osun State. The Professor acknowledged the distress and hardship caused by the unrest and called for an immediate end to hostilities.
