RESOLUTIONS REACHED AT THE END OF THE YEAR MEETING OF OSUN CONCERNED ELITES

RESOLUTIONS REACHED AT THE END OF THE YEAR MEETING OF OSUN CONCERNED ELITES
Stakeholders on the project called "OSUN STATE" met to deliberate on progress of the State in the new year 2024 and map out strategy to put government on its toes. The Osun Concerned Elites returned all adorations to God for sparing lives of it's members throughout the year 2023. The group also thanked Governor Ademola Adeleke for moving the State forward without minding the recent economy crunch caused by removal of fuel subsidy by the federal government of Nigeria. The group also acknowledged the security measurese put in place by Adeleke's government and advised Mr Governor to do more in the area of environmental sanitation as Osogbo the State Capital is too dirty.

  The followings were the resolutions reached at the end of the meeting;
a. That Osun State government should not embark on white elephant projects.
b. That Osun State should ensure all government hospitals are well equipped and stocked with drugs.
c. That government should take environmental sanitation serious to prevent outbreak of disease(s).
d. That government should replace all the stone age buses being used as palliative in other to give civil servants and students best service.
e. That government should ensure that all the flyovers they are planning to construct across the State does not become abandoned projects.
f.That every civil servants who have attained their retirement time either by age or years of service are let go irrespective of their status.
g. That Mr Governor should remember his promise to Osun workers that he will not repeat the mistakes made by past administrations by extending their service years.
h. That Mr Governor should not allow the Head of Service (HOS) to use church connection to seek extension because information at our disposal revealed that Dr Deji Adeleke (Elder brother to Mr Governor) and the HOS are members of Seven-day Adventist Church.
i. That one Permanent Secretary and some General Managers/Executive Secretaries retired in year 2023 without extension.
j. What would happen to the not less than six Permanent Secretaries and some General Managers /Executive Secretaries that will be retiring this year ? Are they going to have their services extended too?
If not, what happens to their votes? If Mr Governor dare extend the tenure of HOS, others will clamour for it and it will become a bandwagon effect.
k. Mr Governor should stand by his campaign words and shouldn't succumbed to the cheep blackmail of the so called Pastors of the Seven-day Adventist that has turned the Adeleke's abode at Ede to their second home all in the name of seeking extension for the HoS that supposed to be thanking God.
l. That government must ensure road maintainance across the State.
16. Government should empower our farmers by giving them fertilizer and other farm implements at subsidize rates.
17. Government should avoid multiple taxation on citizen of the State.

The group then prayed for the State and warned the government to remain government of the people as Mr Governor will soon request for people's support in less than 3 years.

Yours in Struggle
