APC LEADERS AND MEMBERS AFFIRM HON FELICIA OMOLAOYE AS APC CHAIRMANSHIP CANDIDATE IN OLORUNDA LG

Former Chairman of Ilie, LCDA, Hon (Mrs) Felicia Omolaoye, has been affirmed as the candidate of the All Progressives Congress for Olorunda local government in the forthcoming local government election in the state.

Omolaoye was elected unopposed by leaders and members in the eleven wards of Olorunda local government at the party’s primary, which took place at Orita Elelede in Osogbo.The party Stalwarts affirmed her candidacy through voice votes. Hon Omolaoye who is from Ilie town, ward 11, Olorunda local government.

As an eyewitness who monitored the exercise, I observed that the primary was generally peaceful and it was an election that had no factional or parallel primary in the local government area.

In her acceptance speech after the primary, Omolaoye said, “I am happy about it. I was ready for the election. “I want to thank the leaders and members of APC in Olorunda local government, they should be assured of quality representation. By God’s grace, the APC will win elections in Olorunda and across the state.

“You know that traditionally Olorunda is APC and APC has won many elections in the local government. We need to bring everybody together to win the forthcoming local government elections in Olorunda LG.

“Now that the primary election is over we will bring everybody together so that there will be no factions in the LG. We will bring all assumed aggrieved parties in so that we can move the party forward.”

May APC succeed. Amen

Professor Durodoye Appeals For Peace In Ifon-Osun, Erin-Osun & Ilobu

Raifu Oyewole Durodoye a professor of mathematics at Dallas College, Dallas, Texas, United States of America and illustrious son of Osogbo has appealed For Peace In Ifon-Osun, Erin-Osun & Ilobu. The Chieftain of All Progressive Congress, APC, expressed deep sympathy to residents of Ifon-Osun, Erin-Osun, and Ilobu communities over the recurring communal conflict in that part of Osun State. The Professor acknowledged the distress and hardship caused by the unrest and called for an immediate end to hostilities.
