COMPLY WITH COURT ORDER ADEKANOLA CAUTIONS OSUN STATE GOVERNMENT
My take on Osun state government press release made over Oke -Arungbo Awosuru Area vacant land
30th October,2024
I have read with an open mind the position of Osun state government on the dispute vacant land lying and situate along Oke Arungbo, Awosuru Area Osogbo 23.823hectres.
It is important to clarify by setting the record straight that the said land was never given to the government but to the Osogbo community in 1947, during Oba Samuel Adeleye Adenle, the late Ataoja of Osogbo. The land was partisan among the royal family, while the leftovers were for a section of Prince Ajibola Babarinde of Gbaemu Compound. Technical college was well fenced away from the land in contention. Where LSTC ESTATE is about to be situated is not a technical college parcel of land.
It is also important to let Hon. Commissioner aware that the Gbaemu Royal family released part of the land to WAEC, JAMB, SMART SCHOOL, MORE PLANTATIONS, FEDERAL VETERINARY CENTER and YAM MARKET many years after the establishment of Osogbo Technical College.
Also, the previous administration has fully conceded the land to lawful owners after the family got a court judgement in their favor. Bonds was signed by officials of the ministry of land and physical planning in 2020.
Like it was stated in the release made by Hon Kolapo Alimi, that this government inherited legal dispute over the land when they assumed office in 2022, the simple question to ask Honourable Commissioner is whether he is aware that the court has issued a warrant for possession to the judgement Creditor?
In the fourth paragraph of the official statement hon. Commissioner said "however that the subject is still in court which even sat on the matter yesterday." Then why is LSTC ESTATE working on the land despite the position of the court that parties to the suit maintains the Status quo ante bellum pending the hearing. A lawyer of Hon. Kolapo Alimi caliber is expected to advise the government rightly. The government is expected to be a respecter of law and not a violator of laws and order.
