Judiciary the last hope a common man says OPLM
A group, Osun Progressive Liberation Minders (OPLM) has commended the Restraining Order by a Osun state high Court warning parties from going on the land lying and situate along Oke Arungbo, Awosuru Area Osogbo 23.823hectres.
Recall that an Osun state High Court Osogbo through Justice M.O Awe reaffirmed the consent judgment delivered by Hon. Justice A.O. Oyebiyi
on 14th November,2022 which ordered the Commissioner of Police, Osun state to without further delay provide full compliments of the Police and maximum security protection to the Bailiffs of Osun state High Court for the completion of the execution of the consent judgment.
It could be recalled that a warrant for possession of the property was granted on 28th November,2022 and every effort to take possession of the land proved abortive.
However, reacting to the restraining order at a press conference on Friday, the Osun Progressive Liberation Minders (OPLM) convener Comrade Adewumi Philip Obenbe commended the judiciary been the last hope of common man
Obenbe said it was good that the “Judiciary has refused to blind to the reality in the matter.
“As a group, we are of utmost joy and have full confidence in our judiciary for refusing to play to the gallery and issuing restraining order preventing the parties from encroaching, bulldozing or so anything on the said land.
“It is good to state that the restraining order by the Osun State High Court was done in good taste. It serves a purpose which is in the interest of the generality of the people of Osun State.
“If not for the Judiciary the reality and our position is that Osun is gradually heading for the abyss. If urgent steps are not taken, we might wake up one day, and there would be a politician who will bring a bulldozer to destroy an innocent citizen's house.
